Position Overview

You lead end-to-end test automation that protects every release of a high-growth healthcare SaaS platform. You design scalable TypeScript frameworks, plug them into CI/CD, and mentor junior engineers while driving quality metrics across web, mobile, and API surfaces.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain TypeScript automation frameworks with Playwright.
• Expand automation coverage for UI, API, and mobile platforms.
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab/Jenkins pipelines and enforce quality gates.
• Create reusable test utilities and libraries to speed up development.
• Develop strategies for flaky test detection, retries, and stabilization.
• Ensure cross-browser and mobile-emulation coverage for consistent user experience.
• Implement Page Object Model and reusable fixtures for modular tests.
• Define test strategies, quality metrics, and coverage goals for critical modules.
• Collaborate with developers early in the design phase to enable shift-left testing.
• Lead root-cause analysis of production issues and implement preventive actions.
• Mentor junior QA/SDET engineers on coding standards and automation best practices.
• Perform deep API validation covering functional, regression, performance, and security scenarios.
• Validate third-party integrations such as payment gateways, analytics, and order fulfillment.
• Ensure seamless testing across web, Android, and iOS applications.
• Use observability tools (New Relic, Kibana, Grafana) for production debugging.

Must have Criteria

• 4–6 years in test automation and quality engineering.
• Expertise in TypeScript and Playwright.
• Hands-on experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or Jenkins).
• Strong knowledge of UI, API, and mobile testing techniques.
• Ability to design scalable automation frameworks and reusable libraries.
• Familiarity with Page Object Model and test stabilization strategies.
• Proven track record in shift-left testing and collaboration with developers.
• Experience leading root-cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
• Skill in mentoring junior engineers on coding and QA best practices.
• Exposure to observability tools such as New Relic, Kibana, or Grafana.
