Position Overview

You'll own and evolve the marketing platform that supports thousands of dental practices nationwide. You'll be the technical owner of WordPress-based website infrastructure, focusing on engineering quality, performance, and scalability. You'll enable rapid campaign launches while collaborating closely with Marketing, Design, and Growth teams to deliver measurable impact.

Role & Responsibilities

• Build and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, and backend functionality using PHP
• Extend WordPress functionality using hooks, filters, custom post types, and REST APIs
• Leverage AI coding assistants (Cursor, Codex, Claude) to accelerate development cycles and ensure code quality
• Develop reusable landing page templates and custom Gutenberg blocks for rapid campaign launches
• Optimize site performance and Core Web Vitals through caching, CDN, and asset optimization strategies
• Manage and optimize MySQL queries and WordPress data structures for performance
• Maintain technical SEO foundations including structured data, indexing, redirects, and canonical tags

Must Have Criteria

• 5-8 years of PHP development experience with deep WordPress core expertise
• Proven experience integrating AI tools into daily development workflow for productivity enhancement
• Strong front-end skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with modern development practices
• Advanced SQL knowledge with experience optimizing MySQL queries and database structures
• Hands-on experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and custom Gutenberg block development
• Demonstrated expertise in WordPress performance optimization, caching strategies, and CDN implementation
• Solid understanding of technical SEO principles and SEO tooling workflows

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cloudways hosting platform and server management
• Knowledge of NGINX or Apache HTTP Server configuration and optimization
• Understanding of DNS management, SSL certificates, and CDN configuration
• Exposure to WCAG accessibility standards and conversion rate optimization techniques
