Position Overview
You'll lead the development of scalable web applications that power global workforce management across 140+ countries. You'll drive critical projects from concept to production while balancing hands-on coding with architectural ownership. You'll mentor junior engineers and ensure systems scale reliably as the platform grows to serve companies worldwide.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of complex, scalable web applications using MERN stack
- Drive architectural decisions and establish engineering best practices for performance and security
- Own end-to-end delivery of critical projects from planning through deployment and monitoring
- Collaborate with Product, UX, and DevOps teams to deliver user-focused features
- Guide and mentor junior engineers while fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Define and track engineering metrics including uptime, latency, and code quality
Must Have Criteria
- 6+ years of full-stack web development experience with deep MERN stack expertise
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for production applications
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed computing patterns
- 3+ years experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and Docker containerization
- Experience with production monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior developers
Nice to Have
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK stack
- Open-source contributions or technical blog posts demonstrating thought leadership
- Experience optimizing GCP infrastructure costs and implementing security best practices
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
