A Y Combinator S24 startup rebuilding freight finance from the ground up. The company automates back-office accounting for freight brokers using freight-native AI agents.

Their AI processes complex accounting paperwork in seconds, replacing manual verification and data extraction. Founded by a team with deep experience from Google, Georgia Tech, and Progressive.

Position Overview

You'll build high-quality, scalable software that powers freight-native AI agents processing millions in financial transactions. You'll work directly with core platform features in a fast-paced Y Combinator startup environment. You'll have real ownership and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to design and scale systems that eliminate hours of manual work.

Role & Responsibilities

• You design, build, and maintain scalable software across frontend and backend systems
• You develop responsive frontend applications using Next.js and TypeScript
• You build robust backend services and REST APIs using Go (Golang) and/or Python
• You write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following engineering best practices
• You collaborate with product managers and designers to ship features rapidly
• You take full ownership of features from initial concept through production deployment
• You participate in code reviews and contribute to team's technical standards

Must Have Criteria

• 3-6 years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Next.js framework
• Hands-on experience with Go (Golang) and/or Python for backend development
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with databases
• Previous experience working in startup or fast-paced product environments
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and system design principles
• Proven ability to write clean, readable, and efficient code

Nice to Have

• Experience building B2B SaaS products in enterprise environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with modern databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Prior experience scaling systems or optimizing performance-critical applications
