A Y Combinator S24 startup rebuilding freight finance from the ground up. The company automates back-office accounting for freight brokers using freight-native AI agents.

Their AI processes complex accounting paperwork in seconds, replacing manual verification and error-prone work. Founded by a team with deep experience from Google, Georgia Tech, and Progressive.

Position Overview

You'll build the core platform features that power freight-native AI agents processing millions in financial transactions. Working directly with a founding team from Google and Georgia Tech, you'll have real ownership over scalable systems that eliminate hours of manual work for freight brokers. You'll move fast in a Y Combinator startup environment, taking features from concept to production deployment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable software across frontend and backend systems
• Develop responsive frontend applications using Next.js and TypeScript
• Build robust backend services and REST APIs using Go (Golang) and/or Python
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following engineering best practices
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to ship features rapidly
• Take full ownership of features from initial concept through production deployment
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team's technical standards

Must Have Criteria

• 3-6 years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Next.js framework
• Hands-on experience with Go (Golang) and/or Python for backend development
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with databases
• Previous experience working in startup or fast-paced product environments
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and system design principles
• Proven ability to write clean, readable, and efficient code

Nice to Have

• Experience building B2B SaaS products in enterprise environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with modern databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Prior experience scaling systems or optimizing performance-critical applications
