Position Overview

You'll own the technical direction of an AI-powered marketplace platform that serves enterprises worldwide. You'll lead the engineering team and drive architectural decisions that directly impact the $50B+ corporate housing industry. You'll manage a team of 4 engineers while contributing hands-on to both backend and frontend systems that handle enterprise-scale traffic.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture and design decisions across the full stack marketplace platform
• Own backend API development using Node.js/TypeScript with serverless architecture on AWS
• Guide frontend development with Next.js/React for enterprise-facing applications
• Drive AI-powered development initiatives using coding agents to accelerate delivery and innovation
• Mentor and manage a team of 4 engineers, establishing code review processes and quality standards
• Design and optimize MySQL database schemas for performance and scalability across multiple tenants
• Manage payment system integrations with Stripe and ensure reliability of financial transactions

Must Have Criteria

• 6-14 years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of team leadership experience managing 3-5 engineers in technical roles
• Experience building systems that serve 100K+ concurrent users or similar scale
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development
• Deep experience with React and Next.js for frontend development
• Solid understanding of MySQL including schema design and query optimization
• Experience with serverless architectures and AWS cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS)

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS or marketplace platform architecture
• Background in rental, leasing, or financial transaction systems
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Serverless Framework or Terraform
• Experience with payment processing systems (Stripe, payment workflows)
• Experience with AI coding agents and accelerated development workflows
