Position Overview
You'll build a managed Kubernetes platform from the ground up that powers AI-native cloud infrastructure for enterprise customers. You'll lead development of core systems handling tenant cluster lifecycle, worker node provisioning, networking, and storage while mentoring a growing engineering team. You'll have high ownership in architecting production-grade systems that automate complex cloud operations for globally distributed environments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead development of production-grade Go services for cloud-native platform architecture
- Design and implement platform APIs, controllers, and automation systems
- Architect infrastructure lifecycle management including provisioning, monitoring, and scaling
- Build networking solutions and distributed system access patterns
- Implement storage solutions and data persistence layers for cloud infrastructure
- Drive reliability improvements and self-healing capabilities across distributed systems
- Mentor junior engineers and establish engineering best practices for the team
Must Have Criteria
- 5-12 years of software engineering experience with systems programming
- Strong programming skills in systems languages (Go, Java, Python, or Rust)
- Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker) and microservices architecture
- Experience managing large-scale distributed systems with 100+ nodes and 1000+ containers
- Proven track record of building production systems handling high-throughput workloads
- Experience with any major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineering teams
Nice to Have
- Experience writing Kubernetes controllers and operators from scratch
- Deep knowledge of container networking and service mesh technologies
- Experience with GPU orchestration and compute workloads in containerized environments
- Cloud certifications and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Background in building native cloud infrastructure or platform engineering
