Position Overview
You'll handle multiple functions across finance, HR, and admin operations in a fast-growing deeptech startup. You'll have high ownership of projects while building processes from the ground up in a well-funded company. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a startup environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats to support a growing team of 30 talented engineers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day finance operations including invoicing, expense tracking, and reimbursements
- Coordinate with CA for GST, TDS compliance and maintain basic bookkeeping records
- Manage HR operations including attendance tracking, payroll coordination, and onboarding documentation
- Serve as first point of contact for employee queries and maintain HRMS data updates
- Coordinate vendor relationships for office supplies, internet, housekeeping, and procurement
- Track company assets including laptops, access cards, and office equipment
- Handle travel bookings and ensure smooth daily office operations
Must Have Criteria
- 1-4 years of experience in small companies, startups, or SMEs with multi-functional roles
- B.Com, BBA, BBM, or BA Economics degree (MBA not required)
- Hands-on experience with invoicing, expense tracking, and basic bookkeeping operations
- Advanced Excel proficiency including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas
- Experience coordinating with CAs for GST, TDS, and compliance matters
- Prior exposure to HR operations like attendance tracking, payroll coordination, and employee onboarding
- Experience in vendor coordination and basic procurement activities
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a tech startup or fast-growing company environment
- Familiarity with any HRMS systems and payroll coordination processes
- Experience with asset management and office administration
- Knowledge of startup compliance and regulatory requirements
