Position Overview
You translate complex finance workflows into product requirements that power the client’s intelligent finance platform. You own discovery, data analysis, and delivery end to end while partnering with engineers, data scientists, and enterprise customers. Your work drives faster closes, cleaner reconciliations, and real-time insights for finance teams at scale.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with enterprise finance teams to map pain points across AR, AP, cash flow, reconciliation, close, and reporting.
- Conduct user research and discovery sessions to validate problems and surface automation opportunities.
- Mine large datasets to uncover patterns, gaps, and KPIs; convert findings into feature ideas.
- Write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria tied to measurable business outcomes.
- Prioritise backlogs and drive on-time, high-quality releases with engineering, data, and QA.
- Own the product lifecycle: scope problems, define requirements, run UAT, and gather feedback post-launch.
- Maintain strong cadence with technical and non-technical stakeholders; champion alignment between business and engineering.
- Oversee data governance for master data, PII handling, and role-based access controls.
Must have Criteria
- Engineering degree from a Tier-1 institution (IIT, BITS, NIT, or equivalent).
- Overall Experience 4-7 years, 3–5 years’ experience in Finance, Fintech, or SaaS product environments.
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data wrangling; familiarity with Python or BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Ability to handle large datasets and turn analysis into actionable insights.
- Skill in gathering and translating client requirements into product roadmaps.
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous contexts with a bias for action.
- Strong verbal and written communication with finance stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Technical and business product management mindset with on-the-go problem solving.
- Assess technical complexities, risks, and dependencies to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable
- Provide guidance and support to resolve technical challenges or resource conflicts during development.
- Hands-on fintech domain experience.
