Position Overview

You will spearhead the launch, stabilization, and scaling of a new data center in Singapore as the founding leader and single-threaded owner. You define operational strategy, build high-performing teams, and establish world-class standards for availability, efficiency, and resilience while setting global benchmarks for expanding infrastructure. This role offers complete ownership of greenfield data center operations from commissioning to steady-state excellence.

Role & Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data center operations ensuring 99.99%+ availability and operational excellence
• Define and execute operational strategy for greenfield data center from commissioning to steady-state
• Lead design, deployment, and optimization of power, cooling, network, and physical security architecture
• Drive capacity planning, performance optimization, and long-term scalability roadmaps
• Own incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvement programs
• Build and mentor high-caliber teams of operations, facilities, and infrastructure engineers
• Manage strategic vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and operational budget forecasting

Must Have Criteria

• 10-20 years of progressive experience in data center operations, infrastructure, or architecture
• Proven track record leading large-scale or greenfield data center environments
• Experience scaling teams and operations from startup to enterprise scale
• Deep expertise in power, cooling, and facilities infrastructure management
• Strong experience with data center compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, HIPAA, regional APAC requirements)
• Experience with hybrid and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from Tier-1 institutions (IITs, MIT, Stanford, etc.)

Nice to Have

• Experience leading geographically distributed teams across APAC region
• Certifications in ISO 27001, SOC 2, or TIA-942 compliance standards
• Background in startup or high-growth technology environments
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure and specialized compute workloads
