Position Overview

As a Backend Engineer, you will be joining the founding engineering team of 15+ folks in building high-performance, AI-driven products end-to-end.

You’ll own technical design, ship impactful features across frontend and backend, and mentor junior developers—working closely with Product, Design, and DevOps to move fast and deliver business outcomes.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable products & features using GoLang or Node.js and React
• Craft reliable & scalable RESTful (and optionally GraphQL) services and integrations.
• Model and optimise relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Write clean, secure, performant code; drive code reviews and best practices.
• Collaborate with PM/Design/DevOps to deliver user-first features on time.
• Maintain a high standard of architecture and code documentation.

Must have Criteria

• 2-4 years of work-ex in backend or full-stack engineering in Golang or NodeJs
• Experience designing & deploying scalable microservices, preferably in Go or NodeJS
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Great problem solving skills with strong DSA fundamentals, and high attention to detail.
• Great Communication skills, high on team-work and ownership.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge or experience with frontend Engineering in ReactJs is a big plus
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud/DevOps and Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.
• Product design sense, know how of good UX and responsive design.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Awareness of web security best practices.
